Is a Boy 3.4kg 51cm
0Finally after 2 hours plus of labor pain Niangzi successfully delivered our healthy baby at noon June 4 2010. Weight 3.4kg length 51cm
It’s amazing that Niangzi did not used any kind of pain killer to deliver Zi Zhen naturally. He is very chubby and fair skin.

28 May 2010 – 2X Check Up on Baby Heartbeat at Labor Room
0Xiang Gong is back and he is with me for this visit. As usual, doctor check on baby condition through ultrasound scan and internal exam. Doctor estimated baby weight at 3kg where I find there is a big difference as previous visit doctor told me baby is about 3.4-3.5kg. Doctor then takes again the measurement on baby abdomen and again the estimation is about 3kg (may be there was some mistake for the previous measurement, anyway baby weight is estimation). This time doctor said my cervix had opened for about 1cm and asked to check for baby heartbeat. Baby was asleep in the afternoon and no movement after 15mins. Doctor then asked to rest for an hour to take my lunch and come back for the 2nd heartbeat check. After meal, baby seems energetic and got movement within the 15mins check. Eventhough Xiang Gong was not allow to enter to labor room for baby heartbeat check but I have no teardrop for this heartbeat check as I know Xiang Gong with my company at the next door. Again, doctor asked if to drip to induce baby out for this visit. Xiang Gong and I have same thinking where both of us hope to wait till normal bleeding or water breaking as no hurry to induce baby since baby and mummy condition is fine. We leave to Zi Zhen to decide which day he wants to be his date of birth.
Xiang Gong’s Hands Protection throughout my Pregnancy
0A pregnant woman has bit clumsiness during pregnancy. Luckily I have an alerted Xiang Gong who can respond fast when there is danger approaching to me and Zi Zhen. Example, he used to put his hands on my tummy in shopping mall when there were crowded of people or small kids running closer to me. Also, if there were humps or emergency brake along the road, he will faster put his hands on my tummy as protection. I feel sweet and touching at every moment Xiang Gong has this action. Thank you Xiang Gong daddy for your BIG hands protection. Niang Zi and Zi Zhen feel safe for these 40 weeks. GOOD JOB Daddy! 
23 May 2010 – 1st Check Up on Baby Heartbeat at Labor Room (Scary Alone)
0As usual, I went for regular weekly check up for week of 38. I lost 0.5kg at this week but baby gained weight about 500g. I was shocked but doctor said baby weight is just estimation and accuracy should within plus minus 500g. This is 1st time doctor check on my genital part to have internal examination where I felt uncomfortable due to painful and shy. My cervix has yet to open. 1st pregnancy need to take 2 jabs of tetanus. I jabbed for 2nd jab of tetanus at this visit. Due to my weight loss and my tummy got frequent contraction, doctor then sent me to labor room to check on baby’s heartbeat and my contraction frequency for about 20mins. It’s so scary when I lay down alone at labor room. My tear drop because of the scary feeling, lonely and worry if doctor ask to deliver straight away. I was thinking of Xiang Gong and talk to Zi Zhen to wait for daddy to come back. Doctor explained on the chart of baby heartbeat and contraction. He said I got contraction at every 5-10mins where this is the symptom for early delivery and asked if I want to deliver today and he can drip to induce baby out. I refused to deliver today as I have no preparation at all and Xiang Gong is not with me. Anyway, doctor arranged the next visit on 28 May 2010 and if I feel heavy contraction within these days must standby to admit anytime for delivery.
Insomnia
0Recently I cannot sleep well because of frequent urine at midnight and also repeating dream of delivery. Xiang Gong and my colleagues asked me to relax and don’t think much or worried for unnecessary thing, try to find something to do to distract my tension. May be I was too bored at my mother in law place caused I tend to think of unnecessary thing. I have spent most my time in posting blog for Zi Zhen and packing things to bring for delivery. Sometimes feel tired in the afternoon and think of take a nap but still can’t sleep. Delivery day is approaching and my worries of labor pain become heavier. I sincere pray to hope everything can go smoothly, Zi Zhen and I to have safe delivery.
Pillow Talk to My 1st Baby
1GOD, thank you for bringing us a new life – Zi Zhen who are arriving soon in the next couple of days. Before he arrives, I would like to have some pillow talk with him when he is still in my body. My dearest Zi Zhen, thank you for the long visit and stay at my little cramped uterus for 40 weeks. It’s a good experience and direct closest bonding for two of us for these 40 weeks. Thank you for your tolerance to the little cramped space even though most the times I can feel the pain of your football kicks to my tummy but this makes us to have chances to communicate to each others. I am sorry for falling sick and in bad mood which affected to you or blaming you to make me so worries along these 40 weeks. I know Zi Zhen has strong determination to life and mummy should learn from you and be optimism as your daddy. Daddy and mummy are opening both hands and arms welcoming you to be part of our family member and little owner of Sandilands. The happiness when imagine the moment three of us have outing together at blueish sky and greenery playground. This scene will come true as soonest as your arrival. Let’s mummy hold your little hands to bring you back to our sweet home. Please be strong and help each others during labor and wish safe and smooth delivery for both of us. Daddy and mummy will always love you my dear 1st son.
MC for 2 days 29-30 Apr 2010 – Sore Throat
0Again, I fall sick due to infection to sore throat and had no voice at all. Doctor is granted 2 days MC on 29-30 April 2010. This doctor is good as she knows I am pregnant and prescribe medicines for me herself which not affect to baby. I have no worries to take the medicines given. Anyway I stop the medicine when I find my sore throat is improving (hope not to depend much on medicine). Hope not to fall sick anymore as Zi Zhen is still in my body. While rest at home, I started packing stuff to move to new home @ Sandilands.
27 May 2010 – Xiang Gong is Back
1Xiang Gong takes half day leave on 27 May to avoid heavy jam as there is Vesak Holiday for Singapore and Malaysia on 28. I was too excited for his return and cannot sleep well the whole night. Xiang Gong reached home the next day afternoon at 4.45pm. May be both of us missed each other very much, stick to each other at every seconds. iPhone tap tap domination game is one of the entertainment for us to fight for each other. Xiang Gong brought me for a walk/ waddling in the evening as mum said walking is good for delivery. As there was no sign for labor/ delivery throughout the long weekend till Sunday then Xiang Gong decides to back to Singapore to resume work on Monday and coma back again when I was in labor to welcoming our 1st baby. Thanks Xiang Gong for this return and I have enjoyed for this long weekend.
Shop for Baby Products
0It’s easier to shop for baby clothing after knowing baby’s gender. We have the concept that blue color is for boy while pink for girl. Anyway, Xiang Gong still bought of pink color clothing for Zi Zhen during his business trip to US as he said the clothing design he choose only have pink color available.

It’s so exciting to shop for baby product as you will find everything in cutie size. We have shopped of lots of baby products, eg. diapers, baby clothing detergent, bottles cleaner, clothing, shoes, feeding bottles, baby lotion, baby shower gel etc.

6th Pregnancy Check on 20 Mar 2010 – 28 weeks (Check if Baby got Chicken Pox infection)
0I visited to my gynae on the week after I back from Melbourne to find out if baby got any chicken pox infection. Luckily everything is normal from the ultrasound scan. But doctor told me that Zi Zhen is overweight compare to normal fetus weight progress and ask me to stop taking milk for 2 weeks and no sweet/chocolate or snack for these 2 weeks. Zi Zhen gained 500g in 3 weeks while I only gained 1 kg (mean both of us gain half!). Is it because of multi grain bread, honey comb or fruits (peach, grapes, strawberry, apples, etc) I took in the week we visited to Melbourne caused Zi Zhen overweight? After the incident of overweight, Xiang Gong not allows me to take sweet and fatty things where I have suffered a lot and sometimes curi-curi makan because of cannot tahan of the “bait”. Zi Zhen, please don’t gain the unnecessary weight or mummy will suffer for food till you give birth.
Melbourne Trip 6-14 March 2010 – Ng’s Sister got Chicken Pox
0Melbourne trip might be the last trip I can enjoy myself and spend time with Xiang Gong before Zi Zhen born. However, this trip is not much enjoyably as I expected as Ng’s sister got chicken pox on the 3rd day in Melbourne. Xiang Gong has never got chicken pox and I just had the vaccination for the past 4 years. The most panic for both of us is we scare Zi Zhen got infection to this. I was calling my gynae to consult what should I do to prevent baby from the infection. Shall I quarantine myself or keep a distance from Xiang Gong and Ng’s sister? But we stay in same apartment, same car, same dining table everyday. .. Luckily my gynae said my baby is now at 2nd trimester is safe enough and doesn’t matter if baby have infection at this period. Anyway, appreciate that Xiang Gong and Zi Zhen both have no infection after the 2nd week back from Melbourne.
5th Pregnancy Check on 27 Feb 2010 – 24 weeks (3D Ultrasound Scan)
0This was the 2nd visit to this gynae. Doctor did a 3D ultrasound scan for Zi Zhen where we can see more clearly in 3D dimension of baby feature. Zi Zhen is asleep in this photo.

4th Pregnancy Check on 23 Jan 2010 – 20 weeks (See the little hands & feets!)
0Finally I look for the gynae clinic which recommended by the GP doctor whose I did my urine test for pregnancy in Oct 2009. Luckily I find this gynae doctor is the best compare to other 2 gynaes I visited. And confirm will have my following check up at this gynae clinic as understand not good to keep changing gynae doctor as each doctor needs to follow up on the baby and mummy condition to have better understanding for the pre and post preparation to delivery. Doctor did a thoroughly check to my baby and confirm again is a BOY.
I like very much the ultrasound photo for this visit as I can see clearly the feature of my baby, especially his forehead and nose which 98% alike to Xiang Gong. Sure is a handsome little boy!
Down’s Syndrome Result collected on 7 Jan 2010
0After back from Taiwan’s trip, we went to clinic for the Down’s Syndrome test result. It’s greatly appreciated that Zi Zhen are 70-80% safe/ low risk of Down’s Syndrome (Age Risk = 1:1400, Down’s Risk = 1:770) and Edwards Syndrome (Age Risk = 1:14000, Edward’s Risk = 1:100000). This “looso” doctor eventually kena “bullet” from Xiang Gong as he keeps putting his own assumption that both of us quarrel due to no smiling face from our reaction after knowing the test result. In fact, we didn’t respond much to him as both of us don’t like him. Anyway, this is the last visit to this doctor as I have decided go back to the doctor recommended by the GP clinic which I visited for my urine pregnancy check.
3rd Pregnancy Check on 24 Dec 2009 (16 weeks)-Xmas Eve Present – Is A BOY!
0I did my 3rd pregnancy check up at the clinic where I visited for my outpatient consultation on 11 Nov 2009. Xiang Gong and I went to see doctor on Xmas eve and hope to have some surprise present for our Xmas gift – gender of our baby. Even-though we don’t know baby gender yet, but we used to call our baby – Zi Zhen (boy’s name). Zi Zhen is now 16 weeks where it’s time to know baby’s gender. Doctor did a thoroughly check to my baby and surprisingly we find his “jiao jiao” through the ultrasound scan. We were so happy to know it’s a baby BOY and celebrate our Xmas Eve dinner – KFC (couple meal – Black Pepper chicken) at Jurong East Swimming Complex. Gender of baby is the Xmas present we had received. We are excited to look forward next year Xmas celebration with Zi Zhen.
Besides, doctor took my blood to check for Down Syndrome. This doctor is difficult to communicate and always argue with me and question back whatever question I throw to him. Xiang Gong and I dislike his attitude and decided to change to another gynae after have the result of Down Syndrome. We are very upset to this doctor because he didn’t save the baby picture for us to bring back. I got my baby photos for all my previous pregnancy visit. We felt frustrated because short of 1 baby photo for week of 16 – the week where we knew our baby gender…very ANGRY!
