Plan to win
0Plan to win
Too often, when you visualize all the things that could go wrong, you never even make the attempt. You’re defeated before you even start, by your own imagination.
It doesn’t have to be that way. You can visualize anything you want. Your imagination is yours to control. Instead of anticipating defeat, plan in your mind to win. See yourself achieving. Consider the possible challenges you’ll face, and then see yourself successfully overcoming them.
You don’t need any money, or experience, or knowledge, or permission from anyone else to be a winner in your own mind. You can do it right now, and tomorrow, and for the rest of your life. And whatever you can visualize in vivid detail, is well on its way to happening.
Think about what you do want, and discard thoughts of what you don’t want. Be a winner in your mind, and your positive mind will make you a winner.

Malaysia to stockpile food, other essentials goods to prevent shortages and control inflation
0I Heard from news that the Malaysian government plans to stockpile essential goods such as rice and cooking oil to prevent shortages and to keep inflation down in a move welcomed Thursday by consumer groups.
To me this may be a good initiative but the logistic will be a big issue to stockpile food.

Now is the day
0Now is the day
Before this day is over, you can make your world a better place.
Rather than spending the whole day pursuing comfort and avoiding inconvenience, get up and do something meaningful. Rather than just reacting to the random events that come along, focus on a particular goal and get it done. Instead of continuing to worry about something that needs to be done, just go ahead and get it over with.
Use your creativity. Exercise your mind and your body. Whatever you do today, you’ll be tired when it is all over. Will you be tired from enduring the same old thing as every other day? Or will you be exhausted after a day of creative effort and accomplishment? Think of how refreshing that would be!
Today is already underway, and it will end all too soon. Decide to fill it with life. Decide to make it great. See for yourself how far you can go, when you make the most of today.

Asian Stock Markets Plunge Today
0Is this a sign of recession coming or an opportunity to accumulate wealth while the cost is low like what Termasek and GIC is doing now?
US is really cannot be help. I’ll expect the sub prime issue will continue for the whole 2008. More US banks will write-off more billions dollars. More fund will run from Stock to Bond and Gold. Where shall my investment goes.
Anyway I’m invited for an investment seminar this Sat. To listen to the advice from investment guru.
How can a guy stays in Ikea store for a week
0Have you ever wonder what will it like to live in the Ikea store. Where you have chance to try with all the different combination of display furnitures. This is the true concept of try before you purchase.
The good thing about staying in Ikea is you have a huge living rooms, multiple bedrooms design to choose from. However please beware there is no real TV, Fridge and Computer in the store. You will be bore to death unless moving in with portable entertainment devices.
Do you think Singapore Tampines Ikea allow you to take this kind of advantage? I’m sure there will be long queue form right away. No way.. It’s in New York. Where a guy actually allow to stay in Ikea store for 1 week which ends today.
New York City apartment had to be fumigated. All of his friends have tiny studio apartments. Hotels in New York are insanely expensive. Left with few living options, Mark thought it would be fun and make an interesting video to move into an IKEA store where he’d live and sleep for a week. Never in a million years did he think IKEA would go for it, but miraculously they have a agreed.
Mark moved in early morning Monday January 7th to the IKEA in Paramus, New Jersey and will stay for the week through Saturday January 12th. Every day people can watch a video recap of his day. He will be living in IKEA 24/7 and eating all his meals in the restaurant (he may order Domino’s take out once or twice). Thankfully they have a shower for him in the back offices.

Philips’ Eco TV sips power, saves rainforest
CNET have awarded the Best in Show Award to Philips TV
At CNET, we take HDTV power consumption seriously, which helps explain our excitement when Philips announced its Eco TV. The 42-inch, 1080p resolution, flat-panel LCD, model 42PFL5603D (due in March, $1,399 MSRP), is packed with power-saving features. Chief among them is the ability to dim the backlight–by up to five times peak brightness–in response to program material, much like the “local dimming” found on Samsung’s LED-based LN-T4681F. Dimming the backlight in darker scenes has the dual benefit of saving power and improving black-level performance, according to the company.
This TV definitely looks nice in the living room. But I’m doubt how this is going to save the rain forest when you need to first replace the old TV set in the living room.

ERP in Toapayoh or everywhere
0Everyday I fetch my Niang Zi to work in Toapayoh Philips. I have found an alternative way from Tampines to Toapayoh to avoid the ERP gantry before the Toapayoh PIE Exit.
Refer to Google Map
I took the Tampines Ave 10 flyover to Kaki Bukit, turn to Airport Road which above the KPE and turn right to Upper Paya Lebar Road and Bartley Road, Braddell road and turn to Toapayoh Lorong 1. The stretch from Bartley Road to Toapayoh is without any traffic light which is almost like an express way. The time saving on the jam and the ERP charge of $1 make all the effect of waiting time at the Kaki Bukit and Upper Paya Lebar Road worth it.
This morning as usually when we exit from Braddell road. To my surprise there is one big ERP gantry after the exit. This is really ridiculous, what is the rational behind of collecting ERP for the road to residential area in the morning. Which government on earth are collecting $$ for entering residential area in the morning peak hour.
I do not see the point of ERP to control the traffic. I’m seeing this as a move to collect the $$ wherever there is a single convenience point to setup the ERP gantry to get the maximum returns. This is like a business mind to setup where the most traffic that can miss it. The traffic there is already a chaos in the morning where traffic from Bishan want to turn left while the traffic exit from Braddell road want to turn right. I will foresee more delay or accident when the driver try to insert the cash card in the last minute.
Advertlets.com domain expired
1Another big disappointment after the new year.
I just noticed advertlets.com is down due to domain name renewal issue
The whois record show the expire on 4th Jan 2008

This is some thing not acceptable for the advertisement network based on internet. The domain name is the fundamental asset for running online business.
This is a big mistake for getting domain name expired.
The impact is all the website or blog running Advertlets ads unit will redirected to a domain registry parking site. This is really ugly. And effective bring down all the publisher’s website or blog.
This took me a while to remove advertlets from my blog and the reseller site.
Looks like I need to start another round of search for the better advertisement network.
