Lang Tengah Island Trip – The Nite before (8/25)       <Prev Dive>

Need to handle some business stuff in last minutes. I took 1/2 day leave to make sure I’m on time.
I feel very bad to leave my buddy alone going back to KL. However due to bad last minute planning that is not in my control. We delivered the stuff late for 3 hours. Yet the results is not very convincing.

We handled the stuff and on the way back to KL around 5pm. I felt real bad as not being ontime for 2 commitments; 1. Delivery the stuff to my potential client on time; 2. Broken agreement to accompany my buddy back to KL.. Sigh… :(

After reached KL and wait for the rest of divers to pack thing, showers, collect gears, pick up other divers. We then only fetch my buddy around 11pm.. obviously late again. :( (

We drove from KL to KT via Kuantan, my instructor drove the 1st leg to Kuantan and I took over from Kuantan around 4am and reached KT Airport to meet the rest of divers around 8am on day 1.

And finally Venice past my birthday present to me in the Airport. It’s was a surprise for me when open up the present….
"Home is Where the Heart is"

This is the photo I took on the gift I received. A door hanger with a home inside a heart. And a model of the home. Last but not least is at another side of birthday card. She have spend a lot of time a efforts in getting lecturer to translate a birthday greeting to Japanese which she just start learning 2 months ago. I’m touch by this birthday greeting after she show me the original message. ‘Cos I have hard time to understand the message in Japanese as well.

Lang Tengah Island Trip – Day 1 (8/26)

After we get everyone accounted and start to move on to the Maran Jetty around 9:35am Waiting for ferry to Lang TengahUnfortunately we have to wait for the next ferry to Lang Tengah 10:30am
At last we landed on Lang Tengah around noon.

We can felt the fine sand is like a powder, and along the beach have only 2 resorts we stay in Redang Lang resorts. After the orientation and lunch we set off for the first dive.

Dive 1 – Redang Lang House Reef – 6.7M 51BT 2pm? -
 The first shore dive to Lang Tengah House Reef. Learned the shore dive technique. Adventure dive – Navigation Dive
We praticed with compass on land before the dive. Quite easy to do, when we do the same thing underwater, I start to flip upward when hits corals, after second try, thanks to the low visibility instructor give a pass sign eventhough I did not complete the triangle.

Dive 2 – Redang Lang House Reef – 10.5m 55BT 4:36pm -
 The dive with my buddy alone at shallow water, this is a very good dive indeed as we spend very long time underwater together and chase a pair of yellow fish. Until our instructor instruct us to leave the water way used by boats. 55 minutes Buttom Time my longest dive so far.

Spoted Reef : Blue Coral, Funnel Weed, Staghorn Coral, Brain Coral, Mushroom Coral
Spoted Fish : Foxface Fish, Parrot Fish, Titan Trigger Fish

Dive 3 – Karang Nibung Laut – 28.9m 33BT 9:18am -
The Deep Dive. Deepest dive so far at 28.8m. Kind of not use to the presure and the negative buoyancy. The low light condition cause the low visibility that keep us stick to the group. We bring an egg down to play with the compressed egg yolk. The Air consumption is too fast that I barely make the 3 minutes safety stop before surface with almost empty tank.

Dive 4 – Batu Kuching – 19.8m 40BT 3:41pm -
The leisure boat dive and my pity buddy have hard time to catch up with the group. Yet like to swim away fast when I slow down to enjoy the corals and fishes.

This is the dive of missing latch of fin, I noticed it just in time the boat is leaving jetty. Dive resorts Dive Master go back and find a spare fin latch for me. The second thing is I broke the tank banger the strap broke when I pulled to hard.

After complete the dive, my buddy and I decide to do snorkeling with wet suit and fins. The movement is quite smooth and we swim side by side together explore many reef and fish together.

Dive (5) – Aborted Nite dive – 0m 0BT 7:36pm -
The only nite dive planned was aborted due to bad weather…. sigh..
